Lip Balm Reviews

So I realized that I have like 7 different types of lip balm sticks, so thought of writing a short review. Its not that I am obsessed with them, but most of them don't do the job well, and you are required to apply them every now and them, so I end up buying one whenever something interesting appears on the shelves.

Here is the list:
1. Chap Stick ( $1-2)
2. Neutrogina Lip Balm ( $3 )
3. Blistex Lip Balm ($1-2)
4. Some 'Nature' Aloe Vera Lip Balm from Trader Joes ($1-2)
5. Jamba Juice 'Aloha Pinapple' Lip Balm ($1.5)
6. Loccitane Shea Butter Lip Balm ( $10 )
7. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm ( $3 )

Of all these, the first 3 just feel like solidified petroleum jelly. They just form a layer over the skin, and are far away from any sort of moisturizer. You have to apply it very frequently, and it does not really help a lot. The Aloe Vera one does have something added to it which gives a slight cooling effect, but its the same. Jamba Juice one is more for the 'flavor' ;), isn't really helpful for the purpose it is made for.

I would say that the Loccitane one was quite good, it does have a decent amount of 'moisturize' effect. However, its price is quite steep at 10$ a piece. Also, the actual 'stick' has a wierd plastic case, which tends to crack. I think the clear winner in this is the Burt's Bees Beeswax. It contains peppermint, which is really awesome, and it has a good moisturizer in it, so has to be applied less frequently. Its also reasonably priced at around $3 a stick. Its available at most of the stores in malls and other places.

I'm going to have to agree with you on Burt's Bees lip balm being the winner. The peppermint leaves a "tingley" feeling that makes you think you are getting something medicinal out of it (even if it isn't, really).

Talk about tingley, try Plum Pure Peppermint lip balm. Beats Burt's lips down!

I like Burt's Bee's because they are natural, but I also found another site that has Vegan safe balms. They also have a lot more flavors!!

Aunt Bee's dominates Burt's Bee's! And they just came out with Aunt Bee's 5 Flavors in Certified Organic and SPF35!

  5. Make a different, this lip balm is made up of sheep. It's natural and a purest product on earth. And it has 100% Ultra Medical Grade Lanolin.

  6. Interesting topic on lips balms. I have been using Aloe Lips and it has worked wonders on my lips. Besides restoring cracked lips, it also heals minor cuts and burns due to the aloe content that it contains. Besides, the soothing properties of Aloe Vera in it are ideally suited to care for your lips. Aloe, Jojoba and Beeswax combine to create the finest all-season lip product on the market today. Aloe Lips soothes, smoothes and moisturizes chapped and dry lips. I highly recommend it; and you can find it at

  7. when i notice my lips dry i have to find a solution soon like to wear a lips balm, because my lips can lose the smoothness, even the natural colour because of the dead skin or dry and try to keep my skin young always.
This is very important for a woman who want to be sexy. So i always recomend to
buy viagra to the men who i go out.

  8. I prefer to use a balm lip when i feel my lips dry. i think the smoothless of our skin is very important most of all our lips that is a erotic part. i take care very much my image specially when i have an important meeting that i had recently in

    costa rica investment opportunities.
